Consumerism vs recycling. It would be easier to recycle if REBU were more professional: the reason they took away the recycling containers in front of our block was because a crazy old lady complained that they were on the pavement... Now we have to store a lot of glass, paper and plastic and take the bags to the containers at the other end of the boulevard.

This is what happens with the food that is still left at the end of the day. Each year 15 million tons of food are trashed only in germany. Each supermarket has lots of containers at the back side of the shop. It is not just mouldy groceries the supermarkets throw out - it is also perfect food that has to give place to newly arrived goods...

I went to a shop and I asked the lady there to let me take a picture of the products but she was taken aback by my proposal and said a loud and clear no. Then I went into another shop, put my camera on Av and took some pics while the shop assistant was helping another customer.
